This woman is Arvol Looking Horse’s Grandmother, Lucy Looking Horse, not Lucy’s Mother, Martha Bad Warrior, as the Smithsonian states, Lucy….who began the White Buffalo Calf Pipe fraud-lie by the Looking Horse family, which has been promoted & controlled by the American Indian Movement occurred when Lucy Looking Horse’s relatives, Joe Thin Elk & his daughter, Belva Jack of Mission, South Dakota gave native studies student, Raymond Demallie a copyrighted photo that Wilbur Riegert took of Martha Bad Warrior in Aug 1936, with the incorrect provenance accompanying the copyrighted Riegert photo after Lucy’s death in 1966.
This photo Demallie used for his own Native studies career with John Smith in 1967 in South Dakota Museum News, & then donated Riegert’s copyrighted photo to the Smithsonian with the wrong provenance provided by Looking Horses relatives to enable the Arvol Looking Horse hoax & fraud of the century to perpetuate over the last 40 plus years!
It was the same photo that Wilbur took & had copyright for, that the Smithsonian sold also for the last 40 years with the incorrect information accompanying the Riegert copyrighted photograph, that has enabled the Looking Horse fraud-hoax to continue and perpetuate to control Tetuwan spiritual history for the American Indian Movements & Arvol Looking Horse’s personal financial enrichment by making people pay to pray at Arvol Looking Horse & AIM sanctioned so-called Lakota spiritual ceremonies for decades now.
Demallie, has shared with Looking Back Woman in email exchanges (now in hardcopy) that in the 1960-1970s Demallie said he decided & chose to overlook Wilbur A. Riegerts books, I am a Sioux Indian (1967), & Quest for the Pipe of the Sioux, As Viewed From Wounded Knee (1975), and by doing so has enabled the greatest historic fraud-hoax to date, that Arvol Looking Horse is the 19th Generation White Buffalo Calf Pipe Keeper, which the Marie Elk Head Fiddler Utube video reveals the real truth… that the Cannunpa Wakan, the White Buffalo Calf Pipe-Pte Hincala Cannunpa Kin was NEVER passed to the Looking Horse family, because Martha Bad Warrior stated in Aug 1936, when Riegert recorded her words & took this copyrighted Riegert photo at Martha Bad Warrior’s request…. that Martha Bad Warrior’s family (Looking Horses-Bad Warriors-Elk Head’s) were becoming Christianized. (Quote by Martha Bad Warrior Aug. 1936 to Wilbur Riegert to record for all time in Quest for the Pipe of the Sioux, As Viewed From Wounded Knee).
This Riegert information is documented clearly, along with the Dupree familys participation in protecting the Legacy of the White Buffalo Calf Pipe in Quest for the Pipe of the Sioux, As Viewed From Wounded Knee for over a century. Which is in this manuscript that was attempted to be destroyed by the American Indian Movement during the Seige of Wounded Knee in 1973, when they took over Wilbur Riegerts trailer home as AIMs security headquarters.
This was done so AIM & Arvol Looking Horse could change & control Tetuwan Spiritual history which was presented to the world, and enabled along with Raymond Demallie & the Smithsonian, that Arvol Looking Horse is the 19th Generation WBCP Keeper fraudulently, without any truth or provable merit involved, in this horrible & very damaging to the Tetuwan Lakota people’s spirituality, Sacred Lifeway, culture & White Buffalo Calf Pipe Woman’s teachings, that this instrument of pray was to be used as a peace maker between Nations for all time, for the betterment & spiritual enrichment for all of mankind, which was sent to the Tetuwan’s by our Father, Creator.

This obvious truth needs to be recognized….& expert in Lakota religion, Professor Raymond Demallie & the Smithsonian owe the Tetuwans, & all people whom embrace the Pte Hincala Cannunpa Kin Sacred Lifeways & teachings a profound apology for not getting the facts straight before selling Riegert’s copyrighted photo to the public with the wrong information accompanying Riegert’s copyrighted photograph for decades.

Both offending parties, Demallie & the Smithsonian need to pay restitution as well, to the Riegert heirs immediately for Demallie & the Smithsonian’s misuse of Wilbur Riegert’s copyrighted photograph.

If Demallie decided… & chose to overlook the truth Martha Bad Warrior had Riegert record, & NOT research who actually had the Pte Hincala Cannunpa Kin, & chose to dismiss & overlook Riegert’s well documented information, yet used any or part of it for Demallie’s own academic career…. someone elses copyrighted photograph mind you, that has indeed enabled the biggest fraud hoax in history, Demallie should be & needs to be held accountable, & should pay restitution to the Tetuwans & the Riegert heirs for doing so…

It is NOT if Demallie did this….Demallie has, it has been proven beyond any doubt Demallie is the main offender-enabler of this perpetuated fraud-lie….It is nothing less than Intellectual Property theft of Riegert’s copyrighted photograph, & copyright infringement by Demallie, John Smith, & the Smithsonian….and, all of the people who have used Riegert’s copyrighted photographs in their publications & journalistic works.

I, as a Tetuwan Minneconjou Lakota scholar, registered at Cheyenne River Sioux Agency in Eagle Butte South Dakota… refuse after dealing with Demallie & the Smithsonian for over 7 years about this misuse of Riegert’s information & copyrighted photo, & Demallie’s misinformation pertaining to the Pte Hincala Cannunpa Kin, will not stop until the Riegert heirs & the Tetuwan Nations have restitution & an apology for this tragic mistake.
