That was a beautiful moving piece you wrote. I have been working on my family history as well as my husband’s side and came across your blog by typing in Elk Woman & Fred Dupree. My husband is William Gage, son of Louie Gage. We went to the Gage-Traversie-Dunn Family Reuinon back in August so I am learning bit by bit how to piece the family together in history. I noted in the Timberlake Historical book that Good Elk Woman & Fred Dupree were married & saved the buffalo. Are you a grand daughter?
